Documents required for the application process

The important thing to start your application and secure your admission into your desired university is to have all the required documents beforehand. The required documents for application are related to the student’s academics like their previous education documents, certificate of course completion, reference letters from the professors or employers, and a proper statement of purpose which will clearly explain the student’s intention to study in the UK and about the course, they are applying. The following is the checklist of documents required for applying to the university.

Passport copy

The student should have a valid passport copy attested by the government. The passport should have at least six months of validation while applying to the university and a visa. The applicant should submit a properly scanned copy of the first and last page of the passport.

Academic Transcript

the documents related to your education. The student should submit their marks memos from 10th to the highest education they had completed or required to apply for that particular course. If a student is applying to undergraduate, they need to submit transcripts of schooling and intermediate or diploma, if applying to masters they need to submit all the documents right from tenth to undergraduate. They need to submit individual scanned copies of each semester of their undergraduate program.

Certificate of Graduation

The student needs to submit a scanned copy of their degree completion certificate or original degree. This will be required for students who are applying for master’s they need to submit their bachelor’s completion certificates and for students applying for post-doctoral research work they need to submit both bachelor’s and master’s completion certificates.

English Proficiency

students should qualify for the required English proficiency test and get the minimum required score specified by the universities. This is to check that student has the knowledge in the subject which is used as a medium of instruction in the university and that they can understand, and reciprocate in English properly.

Reference Letters

the reference letter is provided by people who have observed you and your work from close quarters like your professors in the college and your employers. The student needs to submit three reference letters if they are freshers, they can submit three reference letters signed by professors if the student has work experience, and they submit a reference letter signed by the employer.

Resume

the student needs to submit their updated resume with all the key skills they are experts in and research works they have done till now if applying to master or post-doctoral study.

Statement of Purpose

The SOP is the kind of personal essay written by a student about them-self. It should include the reasons for selecting a particular program or university, and why only in the UK. It should include their educational background and professional experience, knowledge about the program they are applying to, and future career plans.
