Students can make 2,400 to 4,000 per month for living which they need will be spending nearly 1,000 to 1,500 per month on an average based on their living styles. Here are a few basic rates on living expenses
Based on accommodation, if students choose to stay on-campus the hostel rents vary according to the universities but whereas students choose to stay in rental houses so rent per month varies from 1,320$ to 2,000$ based on the type of accommodation. Meals and groceries cost around 150 $ to 200$ depending on food penchants.
Annual shopping of clothes based on climatic conditions may be nearly 500$.
Other expenses like electricity, internet, entertainment, insurance, petrol, weekend activities, and international calling all together may cost around 600$ to 800$ based on your selections and choices.

Students should also have a calculation of extra expenses as follows:
- Travelling chargers that might be to other states or traveling back to India.
- Hospital expenses that are not part of health insurance such as eye care, dental care, and skin treatments.
- Gadget purchases like PC, Laptops, Cell phones, TV, furniture, and cars.
- They should also look after their summer vacation expenses if they are going to stay back in the USA, trips to other states, entertainment, outings with friends, etc.
- Students should also pay the student visa application fee which is approximately 160$.
